Designist is an online interior design service with a mission to make trusted online interior design accessible and affordable for everyone. We connect visitors with a community of expert and very talented designers to help you bring your creative vision to life

After selecting your design package and designer. Our designers will receive your project brief you've shared along with your style, budget, inspiration images, room photos and measurements.

Designist has a mission to link customers with a vast range of fully vetted, experienced interior designers that hail from some of the best schools in the country. Working with both established and burgeoning talent, our designer team collectively covers every style and room.

If you've forgotten your password, simply click on the 'FORGOT PASSWORD?' link on the "Sign In" page. We will then email you a link where you can reset a new password. You will be given three chances to enter the correct password, after which your profile will be locked. To receive an invoice of your successful order, simply go to the bottom of the receipt that was emailed to you after placing your order, where you will have the option to download the receipt as a PDF printable file.

My Design

A style board is the initial planning board submitted to the client, which introduces design inspiration ideas for your space. This happens during the first phase of a design project.
The designer can include colour palette ideas, inspiration images and furniture/art ideas to give you a general idea of some key ideas for your feedback.
Remember, the style board is not your final design, it is merely a checkpoint along the way to your final design.

Depending on the Package you select you have a set design time within which to collaborate with an expert designer. Click here to look at the designer package options.
Throughout your project duration, it's expected that both you and your designer touch base every day to make sure the project is perfect at the end of the package duration.

You can purchase a package now and wait to start your design within 6 months of purchase date. Once you are ready to start your project, log into the site and finish setting up your project so you can launch your project and begin working with a designer..

In 6 easy steps we will help you give all the project info to your designer. To begin your project, you'll need to upload at least 4-6 photos of your space (ideally taken from each side of the room), select your revamp budget, share a floor plan, and your favourite inspirational photos or links to inspiration boards you might have.

If you are keeping any of your existing decor pieces, there will also be a section where you can provide photos of the items as well as dimensions, so your designer can incorporate these into your design.. Afterall, We design. Your Way

Designist has worked with the experts on a design algorithm to match you with the 3 designers that suit your design style the best. We've spent a lot of time getting to know your designer, their style and skills to ensure you get the right designer for the project. If you dont like the selection, then please pop us a mail and we will find out where we can improve and rematch.

The best design results come from both of you sharing information. If you're open to vintage, let them know! If there is a specific product or supplier you love to shop from, let them know.

Give your designer specific feedback of the selections you've received so far and be as honest as possible (for example, "I don't like this because it's green and I don't like green"). Ask questions too:for example, "what was your thinking behind your selection."
If you just feel like you are not on the same page, reach out to HQ, and we'll be happy to guide you through the process.

We design. Your way. The design process is a collaboration of your design ideas mixed with expert design knowledge.

Throughout your Design Time, it's important that you communicate your wants and needs with your designer. Please give specific feedback of the selections you've received so far and be as honest as possible (for example, "I don't like this because it's red and I don't like red").

If you are unsure of why you don't like it, please feel free to let your designer know. Your designer is the expert and perhaps can offer an explanation as to why they chose something for your space.

It's a very collaborative process so you'll be asked to give feedback on every item on the board. If there's something you don't love, just let your designer know why (colour, shape, fabric, etc), and your designer will be happy to provide other alternatives for you to choose from. When you start reviewing your items, you're first review is of foundational items (this includes larger pieces such as a couch or bed).

Once that is confirmed, your designer will move onto secondary pieces, and eventually your accent pieces to finish out the design. This method was created so you're not overwhelmed with looking at 20 different items at a time. Instead you're looking at about 4 items at a time, and providing feedback.

There is no obligation to purchase items from your shopping list. You may select which items you would like to purchase and buy them all at once or over time. We have also partnered with Mobicred that offers amazing finance options to make sure you get the dream space you deserve.

80% of our products are readily available. Products are listed one the single view product page as in stock or out of stock. Out of stock lead times vary from 4-12 weeks depending on the stock item, which our customer service team will communicate all updates delivery directly with you.

A delivery fee is applicable. When we process your order, our system will generate a delivery quotation based on the lowest cost options from a range of couriers. This cost is then payable with your goodies before delivery is scheduled.

Yes, you will need to register for an online shopping profile, this will make your experience more personal and convenient.

Simply click on the Sign In / Register" link on the top right-hand side of your screen. Then select REGISTER, and if you are a new customer you will need to enter some basic information - it is really quick and easy, and you only do this once.
And don't worry, we will not share your personal details with anyone, and we will not contact you if you do not want us to.
Your information is also safe with us, as we subscribe to the strictest security standards meaning your information is safe from anyone who is not authorised to see it.

There are two ways to find what you're looking for: 1)You can select your shopping category (Living room, bedroom) or by sub-category (e.g. couches, sheeting, curtains, dinnerware). Once you have selected the merchandise you wish to view, you can sort it in a number of ways by using the filters. For example, you can sort from lowest price to highest price, size, colour and shape making it easier to shop. You can also choose how many items are shown per page as well as how many items are shown per row.

If the order has already been delivered to you, you may cancel your order, within 7 days of the goods having been delivered to you.

Should you be entitled to a refund for any reason as stated in our Returns Policy, we will process your refund according to your original method of payment and refunds can take up to 7 working days after it has been approved and processed

For products that are not defective, handling charges will be applicable. A handling / administration fee of 5% with a minimum of R70 (Seventy Rand) will be charged.

In terms of section 44(2) of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, for non-defective items you (the customer) are liable for the delivery and collection costs of these products. Where defective items are replaced, Designist is liable for the collection and delivery costs. For more details on costs involved, please read our Returns Policy here.

We attempt to ensure every order is dispatched as quickly as possible, however some of our products are made to order and will come with longer lead times than others. Please check the description of the item you are ordering as this will let you know what lead time is expected. Please note: The time frame listed in the description is from order till dispatch.

Our couriers charge on either actual weight or volumetric weight (whichever is greater), we try our absolute best to keep transport costs down.
